California's Monterey Bay Aquarium is provided with Diamon Fusion®

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, February 2003- Diamon Fusion® International, Inc. (DFI), supplier and exclusive licensor of the Diamon Fusion® patented hydrophobic technology, has recently completed the first phase (Penguins Exhibit) of the Monterey Bay Aquarium project, awarded to DFI's Licensee in Santa Cruz, California, DHS Glass Surface INC., as part of a new maintenance program designed by the Aquarium to reduce maintenance cycles and keep glass surfaces cleaner for longer periods of time. Diamon Fusion® has also been provided at the Florida Aquarium (Tampa, FL) with excellent reviews after more than 3 years (since application), with an approximate treated area of 10,000 square feet.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium, located in the city of Monterey by the Pacific Ocean shore in northern California (South of San Francisco), is visited by nearly 2 million people each year. The Monterey Bay Aquarium, opened October 20, 1984, is home to almost 300,000 individual plants and animals, and exhibits approximately 550 species. The Outer Bay exhibit holds one million gallons (3,785,400 liters) of seawater. The main view into this exhibit is the world's largest window, 56 feet long and 17 feet high (about 17 meters long and 5 meters high). The aquarium has an active research program and its sister institution, the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, conducts deep-sea research in the vast Monterey submarine canyon. The original cost of the aquarium was approximately US$55 million. The aquarium was designed by the architectural firm of Esherick Homsey Dodge and Davis of San Francisco.
