While DFI will customize a license for your specific marketing and operational needs,
there are two basic types of licenses:
OEM Licenses - Designed mainly for large distributors or manufacturers
of glass, tile, porcelain or granite products. This license typically employs our
super-efficient, low-labor Vapor Chamber Process. Rights are granted to apply DFI’s
patented technology on licensee’s own products only. High volume operations with
a minimum monthly royalty (volume-related) based on the following basic options:
fixed cost per square foot (or square meter), ‘flat’ cost per unit, or percentage
of sales (on treated product).
In-Situ Licenses - Designed for service-oriented businesses with the
ability to work on all existing glass surfaces and other silica-based products in
addition to licensee’s own in-house business. The In-situ (‘in the field’)
business utilizes our field-friendly Hand-Applied Process of applying the patented
Diamon-Fusion® coating. Rights are typically granted on a geographic and market-specific
basis. Chemicals are sold in 500ml sets (500ml of each of the required two solutions)
and include all royalty charges.
